The Story of High-Current Connectors

Nineteen years ago, in Humen, located in the convenient core bay area of Binhai Bay, Shouguo He began to contemplate and explore solutions for lithium batteries in low voltage (DC) and high current (including rated current and instantaneous current) overload connectors and related silicone cables. At that time, China, like the rest of the world, was about to embrace new things that would all be linked to one concept: technology applications making life smarter through innovation, with a promise to be distinguished, and the most outstanding corporate representative named DJI Innovations. Once true innovation began, QS understood what it meant to complement DJI. It meant coming up with novel, surprising, and highly safe connectors and cables.

Connectors and cables were not non-existent before, but the previous designs could not meet the requirements for high current, anti-ignition, fire resistance, size limitations, and processing techniques... All these represented a completely new start for our industry. Therefore, we invited Shaowen Bo, with over 20 years of experience in product design, material analysis, injection molding, metalworking, and electroplating surface treatment, to take the lead. After 5 years of overcoming challenges, we finally produced connectors of superior quality that meet or even exceed our customers’ current needs in terms of rated current, voltage resistance, mechanical life, protection level, working temperature, and flame resistance. Drones, electric vehicles, home energy storage, commercial energy storage, AGV carts, and robots... The overloaded connectors and cables provided a clear and complete solution. The anti-ignition patent technology, significant overload capacity, and the use of crown spring terminals made the power lithium connectors hits the nail on the head, providing an innovative solution to the market needs. We are currently applying for specialized and innovative national certification, making QS connectors (Q-HOBBY) and silicone wires the industry leaders in low-voltage, high-current application scenarios.

For Qishang, this is merely the first step of a long journey. The team has reinvested heavily in both capital and human resources to embark on innovation and transformation time and again. Over the past 10 years, with more than 2000 explorations, we have developed a stable, high-quality 250A high-current + waterproof, self-locking connector that has made its debut, capturing the global market space and reclaiming the glory that rightfully belongs to us. Over 5 years, from being coveted by competitors to winning recognition from customers at home and abroad, this is an affirmation of QS’s continuous innovation and an inexhaustible source of strength.
